IBSF - World Under 18s Result
Today saw the final of the World Under 18s being played out in Belgium - and what a final it was!
The opening frame was comfortably taken 91-0 by Yun Fung Tam, only for Jackson Page to take frame 2 62-3. A 63 in frame 3 from Yun put him back in the lead and again Jackson fought back with a 53, 111-15 the score in frame 4. Frame 5 went to Yun again, 77-21. Frame six was another high scoring one,Jackson cueing a fine 62 to win 107-1. The seventh frame was the first time any player had won 2 frames on the trot, another 40+ clearance from Jackson (93-20) put him ahead for the first time. Although Yun tied the match again by taking a tight frame 8 by 66-50, Jackson still had it in him to come from behind in the decider, taking the pink at the second attempt to win 57-38, 5 frames to 4 and become the OBSF World Under 18s Champion of 2016.
Jackson is pictured below with the trophy. Well done!
