Furnish Wins Welsh Under 16's Event 1

Travis Furnish fresh from his win in the first Under 21's event made it two tournament wins in succession as he won this first Under 16's event.

Starting as a strong favourite he confirmed this status by reaching the final without dropping a frame, beating the experienced Ieuan Davies and the very dangerous Tyler Rees along the way.

Suraj Singh reached the final after a couple of close matches against Lewis Burke then the improving Matthew Humphries who had a superb win over junior international Ryan Rowlands at the quarter final stage.

The final produced some excellent snooker with Travis just getting the better of Suraj in the deciding frame.
