WBSA Top Team - Final
The Final of the above mentioned tournament was between the defending champions, Neath & West Wales League and Pockets SC, Newport.
In the first leg of the final, Neath & West Wales League had the home draw but Pockets SC came away with a 7 frames to 5 frames win and aggregate advantage of 156 points. For Pockets SC, David Hard and Mark Stoneman had excellent wins over Andrew Rosser and Gavin Lewis which put their team in a strong position for the return leg.
In the return leg Pockets SC played well and on the night and proved too strong for Neath & West Wales League and ran out worthy winners 13 frames to 7 frames with David Hard and John Payne having an excellent night for the home team.
Congratulations to Pockets SC on their success and Neath West Wales League on reaching their consecutive final but failing in defending their trophy.
On a final note, it was pleasing to see Robert Harrhy watching his team perform and am sure that all snooker players forward their best wishes in his ongoing treatment.
