Welsh Mens's Event One Qualifiers
Last year’s Welsh Champion Duane Jones failed to qualify for the finals of the first event of the new season when he was narrowly beaten by John Bevan at Trecenydd Snooker Club.
Former European Champion David John was in very good form beating junior international Ryan Rowlands, former European Champion Jak Jones and Kishan Hirani to qualify.
Andrew Pagett posted his intentions for the coming season when he overcame Lee Walker in his last match to gain the third spot at the eastern venue.
Over at Ammanford the ever consistent Rhydian Richards qualified with wins over Bryn Devonald, Dean Thomas and Tom Rees.
Gavin Lewis finally recovered his old form beating Stephen Ellis and Paul Thomas without dropping a frame.
Jamie Clarke was the other qualifier for the finals at Vetz Snooker Club on Sunday.
The qualifiers from North Wales are Gareth Allen and Elfed Evans.
