Jones wins IBSF World 6 Reds Championship in Carlow
Welsh Amateur Champion Duane Jones won the IBSF World 6 Reds Championship in Carlow, Ireland beating local hero Michael Judge by six frames to four in the final.
Twenty years old Duane from Mountain Ash won the first three frames comfortably before Judge won the fourth.
When he won frames five and six to give himself afour frame advantage it looked as if Duane would win comfortably but with the support of his home crowd behind him Judge showed his experience at the top level by reeling off four frames in a row reducing his deficit to just one.
With his back to the wall Duane played a great frame of snooker in the tenth to clinch the title.
Every snooker player in Wales knows how talented Duane is and now he has proved it on the world stage.
