Elite Cymru recipient Duane Jones (Mountain Ash) led 2-0, then trailed 2-4 before losing 5-3 to Scotland’s Leslie in the semi-final.
Wales’s other players at the event Daniel Norris (Aberdare) and Edward Topham and Kishan Hirani both of Cardiff all played well to reach the knockout stages.
