Welsh Men's Event 1 - Qualifiers
The first Men’s event of the 2014-15 season got off to a bang attracting fifty-eight high-quality entries from all over Wales.
Tyler Rees, Jamie Clarke and Ben Jones are the West Area qualifiers from Snooker World Ammanford.
Fifteen years old rising star Rees, from Llanelli was in terrific form comfortably eclipsing Welsh International Gavin Lewis and 2013 Welsh Champion Duane Jones.
Ben Jones made the highest break of the day with a great run of ninety two.
Redz Snooker Club, Cwmbran was the East venue where David Donovan was outstanding.
Sam Thomas and the resurgent Mike Hodge were the other two qualifiers from there.
Rhys Williams made a fine break of 108 in North Wales but it was Steve Thomas and Jack Bradford who were successful in qualifying and will complete the line up for the finals at the TG Matchroom, Llanelli on the 21st September at 10.30am.
