Former European finalist Gareth Allen made it consecutive Welsh ranking event wins in Men's Event Three
Former European finalist Gareth Allen made it consecutive Welsh ranking event wins when he won Men's Event Three at Snooker World Ammanford.
He swept aside rising star Tom Rees and fellow Welsh International Alex Taubman before beating the ever consistent Rhydian Richards in the final by three frames to one
Richards battled his way to the final with victories over Ross Jones and then produced fine breaks of 106 in the first frame and 49 in the decider to beat talented Mountain Ash cueist Duane Jones by three frames to two.
With just one event remaining before the team to represent Wales at the 2015 European Team Championships in Malta is known Allen is well clear at the top of the rankings followed by Jones and Richards tied in second place.
