Welsh Under 21s Event Two
The second U21 competition took place on the 8th November, contested by 20 players.
With such a strong field it was inevitable that there would be some tough matches in the opening round. Winner of Event 1 Callum Lloyd came through his opening match unscathed, beating Joshua White 3-0 before losing 3-1 to Tyler Rees, who had been run a close 3-2 by Callum Matthews in his previous match, in the semi final. Rhys Thomas dropped just 2 frames in 3 matches against Dylan Emery, Josh Sellar and Ben Fortey before losing out 3-0 in the final to Tyler.
There were some excellent breaks on the day, topped by an excellent 104 from Rhys Thomas. Tyler Rees (86), Callum Lloyd (65), Callum Matthews (54, 52, 50) and Ben Fortey (43) were the others
The rankings have been updated to reflect the results and can be found here.
