Welsh Under 16s Event Five Results

A day of few shocks in event number five as all four seeds reached the semi finals. 
 
Callum Matthews looked on course for his first match century when he missed a simple red on 77 in his quarter final match with Bradley Ferguson.
 
Alfie Davies won a close match with Zac Walters in his quarter final. He won the decider easily after being pegged back to 2-2 having led 2-1. 
 
Jackson Page breezes through his half of the draw but was pushed hard in the semi final after losing the first frame against Alfie. 
 
Dylan Emery again impressed with his match play and beat Callum Matthews in a high quality semi final with Dylan making the highest break of the day a lovely 79.
 
The final was a tense affair with both players having several chance on a tight match table at the Red Triangle. Jackson however used all his experience and eventually ran out a 3-1 winner. It did look like it could have gone 2-2 at one stage but a crucial snooker in the fourth frame gave Jackson the edge he needed. Jackson continues to be Dylan's bogey man. 
 
The final event of the under 16 season in now at Red triangle again on March 21st.
