IBSF - World 6 Reds and World Team 2016

Despite this being what many of us perceive to be the summer break, several of our players are currently over in Egypt competing in the IBSF World 6 Reds, Mens World Team and Masters World Team Competitions.

We have fielded eight players in the Mens competition. Group E sees Martin Williams making his Wales debut, having played 1 match which he narrowly lost 4-2. In Group I, Keith Thomas also found himself losing 4-2, but again this match was far from a decisive defeat. Ronnie Allen was beaten 3-4 in his opening match of Group L and will consider himself very unlucky to have lost out. Wayne Morgan has got two Group O matches under his belt, losing 2-4 and winning 4-1. In Group P, Andrew Pagett's opponent kept him off the table all match in the only way he could - by withdrawing from the event and leaving Andrew without a match. John-Henry Griffiths comfortably won his opening Group R match 4-2. Darren Morgan started his Group X matches with a 50 break in the first frame, 4-2 the final score. Jamie Clarke comfortably saw off his opponent  4-0 in Group AE, with breaks of 68, 45 and 46 and winning three of his frames to nil.

The Masters Team competition has only seen one Welsh match thus far, Keith and Martin losing 4-1 to Egypt 1
