IBSF World Mens and Masters Championships 2016 - Finals Day
The IBSF Mens and Masters Championship concluded today, but unfortunately things didn't go as we hoped.
Both Andrew Pagett and Elfed Evans made the finals of their classes, but found their opponents in astounding form.
Andrew faced Soheil Vahedi and dug deep, but was unable to repeat his success of yesterday. Despite a decent 69 break in frame 4 and a few close frames, Soheil managed to do just enough each frame and clinched the title by 8 frames to 1.
Elfed had not dropped a frame in the knockout stages, but didn't seem to settle today. Dharminder Lilly scored heavily and took the honours 6-2.
With all the Welsh players comfortably making the knockout stages, all seven should be justly proud of their achievements in the last ten days. Well done gents!
