Welsh Open Wildcards Third Round Update
Jackson Page's fine run in the Welsh Open came to an end yesterday at the bridge hand of Judd Trump, although he has written his name into the record books as the youngest British player to reach the Last 32 of a Ranking Event.
With two such fast and flowing players, it was inevitable that the match would be relatively brief. With Judd in fine form, it wasn't until Jackson was 3-0 down that he got the chance to put a decent run together. However, it was not to be and Jackson bowed out at the third hurdle.
There has been a genuine buzz in the media about our wildcard choices, with mentions on the radio in shows on Talksport and even on LBC. BBC and Eurosport are carrying a number of articles on their websites too, all of which can only be good for our game.
The Trump/Page match can be viewed below.
