EBSA 6 Reds - The story so far

Although our main season has finished, the international competitions are still in play. Eight of our players have gone to Albania for the 6 Reds, European Open and the European Team event and all have acquitted themselves well thus far.

Alex Taubman leads the charge, coming through the group stages as number 1 seed and lining up in the semi finals tomorrow against Kristján Helgason. Tyler Rees finished as 6th seed and has also made the semi finals, facing England's Wayne Brown in the morning.

Andrew Pagett took 11th seed spot, seeing off Kevin Chan 4-0 before an all Welsh last 16 match with Tyler, the youngster winning 4-1. Darren Morgan finished as 13th seed, strode confidently into the last 16 with a 4-1 win over Ismail Türker before being pipped by Kristján Helgason 3-4. Dylan Emerywas again impressive and took Wayne Brown to the deciding frame before bowing out at last 32.

The other players were just edged out in the group stages, Chairman Ronnie Allen, Dean Thomas and fresh cap Ross Jones all wining one match each. Ross will count himself unlucky on his debut as a cruel in-off after an excellent final black in frame 6 of his second match robbed him of a 4-2 win and gave his opponent renewed confidence to take that match 3-4.
