Tyler Rees wins Welsh Under 14's Event 2
The very promising Tyler Rees (Llanelli) won this second under 14s event in fine style dropping only one frame all the way through. An excellent win over the more experienced Rhydian Stringer put him into his second consecutive Under 14's final.
Lewis Samuel reached his second junior final of the season with another gritty performance to beat No.1 seed Suraj Singh. Lewis now seems to be adding the magic ingredient, consistency, to his game.
In the final Tyler proved what a very good young player he is becoming by defeating Lewis 3-1 a win which takes him to No.1 spot on the Under 14's ranking list.
The Plate
The plate was competition was won by Jack Martin who continues to show promise and is sure to make his mark in junior event very soon. Jack beat event 1 plate winner Jackson Page 2-1 in the final.
