Under 18s Event 4 - Results
The opening weekend of the New Year featured a busy weekend for the juniors, with the Under 18s playing the day after the U16s
The early rounds saw some outstanding snooker being produced, break of 87 and 79 from Dylan Emery and runs of 68 and 59 from Alfie Davies eased them both into the semi finals. The surprise of the tournament was probably Jacob Boyle's excellent win over Under 14s Champion Liam Davies.
The semi finals were both very tight affairs. Dylan made a great comeback with breaks of 71, 51 and 52 to beat Callum Matthews and Jackson also needed to use all his experience to overcome Alfie Davies by 3 - 1 the other semi-final.
With both players playing so well at the moment, the final was always likely to be a cracker. With breaks of 51, 59 and 52 Jackson Page beat Dylan Emery by three frames to two. The match was always in the balance with Dylan also having breaks of 52 and 56 himself.
Both head to the EBSA Junior championship in Sofia, Bulgaria and on current form both have a chance of winning the title.
