Masters Event Four - Results

Snooker World, Ammanford saw 28 players on the day contesting a very high quality tournament.

Throughout the day consistantly high breaks were registered by a number of players. There were 2 new entrants for this seasons events, Mark Oloughlin and ex professional Mark Fenton. There were shock results at the Quarter Final stages with only Darren Morgan of the top 4 seeds progressing further. The top half of the draw produced excellent displays from both Alan Hurley and Byron Phillips to reach their first Semi Finals. Alan edging out Byron by the odd frame to clinch his place in the Final. The bottom half of the draw saw Darren Morgan and Mark Fenton in the Semi Final with Darren coming through a high class match 3 frames to 1.

In the final Darren showed his class with an opening 103 break in the first frame. Alan was edged out of a scrappy second and Darren was not to be denied clinching the match 3 frames to nil.
