Under 16s Event Five - Results

Rhys Morgans (Llanelli) won this event, his 4th win of the season at this age group and a win which seals his place in the Welsh under 16s team for the “Celtic Challenge” against Rep. Ireland later in the year.

In the final he defeated the very dangerous Luke James (Merthyr Tydfil) 3-1after Luke had beaten the highly rated prospect Liam Davies 3-1 in their semi final.

Rhys reached the final with a 3-0 win over fellow junior international Ryan Bowgen in their semi final. A much closer match than the scoreline suggests as the first two frames went to the black.

Ben Massey won the plate competition overcoming Jacob Boyle 2-1 in a thoroughly
entertaining final.
