Under 21s Event Five - Results
Sixteen entries made the playing schedule straightforward. There were no surprises in the first round with the closest match being the local derby between Luke James and Aaron Burgess. The quarter finals were all won to nil scores and going largely to top ranked players except for Tyler Rees who overcame the higher ramked Conor Caniff to improve his ranking position. In a very closely fought semi final Tyler Rees won against the in form Jackson Page while Dylan Emery quikly overcame Callum Matthews.
The final proved to be an excellent match with Tyler taking a 50 point lead in the first frame only for Dylan to claw back points and win the frame by taking the last 4 colours. Dylan made a very nice break of 80 to take frame 2 and Tyler replied with an excellent 103 in frame 3 to close the gap. Tyler then went into a 60 point lead in frame 4 but Dylan took the frame and match with a first class break of 61.
