HIBSF U21 and U16 Day 2
Today has seen another twist in the tale of the Welsh Home Internationals campaign for 2019.
In the U21s England B pulled a rabbit out of the hat and beat England A, leaving the door open again for the Welsh contingent of Dylan Emery, Tyler Rees, Alfie Davies and Rhys Morgans to regain control over their destiny. Following a 9-3 win over Northern Ireland, the Welsh lie second by virtue of dropping one more frame than England A so far and with England facing a very determined Republic of Ireland side, there is a real chance that the Welsh will be able to take the title with a strong win over Scotland at noon tomorrow.
The Under 16s lie fourth in the table following their very determined 9-3 win over Scotland this evening, Liam Davies playing some excellent snooker on the streaming table to seal a rapid 3-0 win to set the tone.
And so, to tomorrow then. Fingers crossed!
