MS Teams link for AGM 2021

Further to the previous article giving notice of the AGM, please see the link below for the AGM which is to be on Microsoft Teams at 2pm on Sunday the 20th June 2021.

As the AGM will be virtual this time, we would like to confirm the following points: -

1. You do not need to have Microsoft Teams installed in order to use the link. However installing Teams beforehand will allow you to use some other features (such as blurring backgrounds or using a picture as a backdrop.) Opening the link on a laptop or PC will give you a choice to open teams, install teams or to proceed in your browser without installing Teams.

2. If you open the link on a phone or tablet, the mobile versions of browsers default to mobile web pages and most likely will ask you to consider installing the Teams app. Again, you do not need to do so. To proceed without using the teams app, select the menu options (usually top right of the screen, three dots or three lines) and chose to 'open desktop site' and the option to continue to the AGM in your browser will be shown.

   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

3. Following the link takes you to the lobby, from which you will be admitted. If you are not a known member of Welsh Snooker, you will not be admitted.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

4. If you have not used Teams before, many of the Committee have and we will do a brief demonstration before the AGM itself starts in full.

5. Anyone participating in the AGM is requested to mute their microphone when joining, so that echo does not generate feedback noise.

6. To speak in the AGM, raise your hand either visibly on screen or using the hand raising tool in Microsoft Teams.

7. Everyone who wishes to speak will be heard! We will not close an item until such point as we can adequately move on.

We have discovered that some versions of the Firefox browser do not give you the option to proceed in the browser. This will be due to the software version of the browser, in which case try updating, or install Google Chrome or Microsft Edge just for the weekend.
