Under 18s Event 3 - Results

Lee Walker's Wexa Sports was the venue for the third Under 18 event of the season, with the club being ideal for a smaller tournament of 8 players.

With everyone on from the start and no waiting around, Liam Davies got off to a flyer against Jack Taylor, with breaks of 56, 46 and 44 to seal a rapid 3-0 win. Ollie Briffett-Payne saw off the ever improving Zac Cosker 3-1 to set up a semi final with Laim. The match played out closely as expected, but Liam booked his seat in the final by 3-1.

In the bottom half, Ryan Davies had a fantastic start to his day with a 3-0 win over Jack Annalls. Riley Powell had a tough match with Dainton Barrass, winning 3-1. The semi final though ended 3-0 to Riley, with Ryan not being able to turn on the style as he had earlier.

The final itself was quite a tussle, with Liam knocking in breaks of 77 and 55 to take the tie 3-0. To his credit, Riley kept his head up all the way through and battled the whole way.
